This notice explains what personal data LogicGap AI collects through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
This website is run by Alex Harwood, trading as LogicGap AI ("LogicGap AI", "we", "us"), based in Oxfordshire, England. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
Questions about this notice or your data can be sent to hello@logicgap-ai.net.
What we collect
| Data | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Name, work email, company, the service you're interested in, and your message | The contact form on this site, or emails you send us |
| Anything you choose to tell us in later conversations | Emails, calls and meetings that follow your enquiry |
| IP address, browser type and pages requested | Recorded automatically by our hosting provider when you visit, as for any website |
We don't ask for sensitive personal data. Please don't include it in the form.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange calls, briefs or workshops you've asked for. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you're asking about our services, taking steps before entering into a contract.
- To run and secure the website, for example to prevent spam form submissions and keep the site available. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records if we go on to work together.
We don't sell your data, use it for automated decisions about you, or add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
We only share personal data with service providers who help us run the site and our business, and only as far as they need it:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
- Google serves the typefaces this site uses (Google Fonts). Your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, which shares your IP address with Google.
- [Email provider, e.g. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace] stores our email, including enquiries forwarded from the form.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a working relationship are deleted [24 months] after our last contact. If we work together, records connected to the engagement are kept for as long as UK law requires, usually six years after it ends.
Data we handle for clients
This notice covers data about people who visit this site or contact us. When we work on a client's systems, any business or employee data inside them (for example, in IFS Cloud) is processed on the client's behalf, under the client's instructions and a written data processing agreement. The client's own privacy notice applies to that data.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data, where we no longer have a good reason to keep it
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests
- transfer data you gave us to another organisation, where that applies
To make a request, email hello@logicgap-ai.net. We'll respond within one month. There's normally no charge.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this page if the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
